RWE Generation NL is developing an innovative project at the Eemshaven power plant site for the environmentally friendly production of hydrogen within an integrated hydrogen value chain with great scaling potential.

As part of support services, our RWE TI experts started in 2019 to conduct a feasibility study with the aim of producing green hydrogen in Eemshaven. The project includes, among other things, the further development of the concept design created by RWE TI in the form of a feasibility study, support in technical issues in the application process for EU funding, and cooperation in the upcoming approval process for the electrolyzer.

In the first phase, the focus was on the development and realization of a 50 MW electrolyser in Eemshaven with a direct connection to RWE's onshore wind farm Westereems. Our services within the project development include basic engineering, detailed engineering, procurement and RFQ process design until contract award.
