Efficient, climate-friendly and smart

This describes the energy supply of the future. RWE is working on this with numerous projects at all stages of the value chain. Because this is the only way we can achieve our goal: climate neutrality by 2040. Research and Development (R&D) faces many challenging tasks in this context. Scientists and engineers deal with the issues of today’s power generation and at the same time develop innovative concepts for the energy supply of tomorrow. The goal is to use technologies that balance economic efficiency, security of supply and environmental compatibility in a constantly evolving energy market.

Strong partners in industry and science

RWE also contributes its experience to international collaborative projects and works closely with partners from science and industry. Since we focus on application-oriented research and development, our competencies complement those of our numerous partners from universities and public research institutions. In this way, we not only ensure the success of our projects, but also support universities and institutes with current research topics and have a positive impact on the qualified, practice-oriented training of young scientists.
