  • Leasing of agricultural land for wind power projects is a lucrative business for you as the land owner. With an annual guaranteed minimum royalty plus a percentage share of the grid feed-in proceeds a wind farm on your land will deliver long-term income for you and your family.

  • There is no cost or effort required by you for a wind farm on your land. RWE takes responsibility for all planning, financing and completion of the project from design concept and tenders to connection to the grid. We keep you updated on our progress all along the way – and you need not worry about a thing. Because we always finance our own construction projects ourselves, we are not reliant on banks either, which makes leasing your land to us a risk-free venture.

  • Because each project is different, we plan our wind farms individually with due consideration of the conditions in each case – and ensure the necessary acceptance of the local community is secured. From the initial talks to completion of the wind farm, we work with you as equals – operating with total transparency and reliability. We always deliver on our promises – so you will not receive any frivolous offers from us.

  • RWE stands for stability and reliability. We have over 125 years of experience in electricity production and are now one of the world leaders in wind power generation. We primarily build plant for our own business and prefer to operate any completed wind farm ourselves. A partnership with us lasts at least 20 years – because our model is based on long-term collaboration rather than making a quick profit.

  • Having a wind farm on your land will have negligible impact on your everyday work. You can continue to use the land for agricultural purposes. If you should sustain any loss of harvest during the construction phase, we will see you right. And if you ever have any concerns, you have designated key contacts in our team you can approach at any time.

  2. RWE will check the site specifications
  3. RWE will perform a preliminary examination and check whether the site is suitable for a solar farm, based on various criteria (e.g. the wind potential, eligibility for subsidies and opportunities for electricity-feed-in, and also the distance from residential housing).
  4. If the site is suitable, RWE will contact the property owner with a provisional offer of lease.
  5. Once the lease agreement has been signed, RWE will begin the project development process.
