On the recommendation of the Audit Committee, the Supervisory Board of RWE AG has decided to appoint Deloitte GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft as auditors for fiscal 2024. The shareholders will decide on the choice of Deloitte at the Annual General Meeting.
The change of auditors as of fiscal 2024 is required by law, as PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) will reach the legally prescribed maximum period for audits of the 2023 financial statements. The selection process was carried out at an early stage to allow the new auditors sufficient time to complete non-audit services, thereby ensuring their independence as well as a smooth transition.
