Overview of programme

The RWE renewables business is growing in a rapidly evolving industry. Developing the right people to address not only today’s challenges but to be prepared to meet the business requirements of the future, will be key for our company´s progress.

The Renewables International Graduate Programme is the career entry point for qualified international graduates. In our 18-month programme, you will help advance our business, bring your knowledge into projects and positively shape our energy turnaround. This programme has a clear focus on Renewables Business (Operational/Technical) with a view on the whole value chain of RWE. Aspiring professionals with the right skills and mindsets will help drive our business across the organisation and into the future.

  • You will take part in 3 rotations in various functions of the organisation with the following options:

    • A department of the value chain, e.g. Engineering, Construction, Operations and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE).
    • One of your rotations may take place at another location or even abroad.

    • You’ve recently graduated or are about to complete your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or scientific field like e.g. engineering, physics, geoscience, geoinformatics, environmental science, biological oceanography.
    • You’re ready to take your first steps into offshore wind and apply your academic background. 
    • You’re curious, open to new ways of thinking and motivated to develop yourself professionally. 
    • You feel comfortable working in a dynamic environment and are open to taking on new tasks as they arise.  
    • You enjoy handling tasks on your own and with initiative, at the same time you thrive in group-oriented tasks especially in cross-cultural, international settings. 
    • You’re open to work in different locations and travel as part of your professional growth. 
    • You have fluent oral and written business English skills. 

    Advantageous, but not essential

    • You have gained first practical experience in the field of offshore wind or related areas – e.g. through an internship or working student position.

    Please note that the application deadline may be changed at short notice and we will no longer accept applications early on!

Development & training 

You’ll join an engaging learning journey that combines practical experience with targeted skill development. Through interactive workshops and peer sessions, you’ll enhance key capabilities such as project management, collaboration, and communication.

As part of the programme, you’ll work on a six-month project that allows you to apply your knowledge and grow your network across RWE. With mentor support and presentation training, you’ll have the opportunity to share your results and experiences at the end of the programme.
