  Through early exposure and practical experience, RWEST aims to empower and inspire future talent, broaden the pipeline of diverse talent, challenge misconceptions about trading, and build confidence and capability. The programme is designed to ensure women can see themselves represented and succeeding in commercial roles across RWEST.

  Our programme highlights the expertise and career journeys of our talented women while demystifying the world of trading and providing a clear insight into a trading career at RWE Supply & Trading. Participants gain an understanding of how energy markets operate, from the fundamentals of supply and demand to the strategies, data, and technologies that underpin modern trading across power, gas, and carbon markets.

  Alongside hands on experience and opportunities to upskill, interactive sessions explore how data and quantitative analysis are turned into real trading decisions. The programme also supports participants to build confidence in a professional environment, develop commercial awareness, and feel comfortable bringing their whole selves to the workplace.

• Entry requirements

  • Female students in the penultimate year of a highly analytical, numerical or business-focused subject

  • Motivated to take on new challenges
