RWE has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the discount supermarket Lidl GB. The five-year agreement, which has already begun, covers an annual electricity supply of 100 gigawatt hours (GWh). This accounts for just over 15% of Lidl GB’s national electricity requirements.

Amazon and RWE, a global leader in renewable energy, have signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for 110 megawatts (MW) from RWE’s German Nordseecluster B offshore wind farm. The agreement with RWE supports Amazon’s goal to be net-zero carbon across its operations by 2040. With the support of offtakers such as Amazon, the project helps to decarbonise Germany’s electricity system.

RWE has signed an 8 year PPA with Global Switch, a pioneering owner, operator and developer of data centres in Europe and Asia-Pacific. Under the terms of the agreement, Global Switch will source electricity produced from RWE’s Brechfa Forest West onshore wind farm to power its data centre in the heart of London’s Docklands.

RWE has signed a five-year PPA with Thames Water, the UK’s largest water company. RWE will supply a total of 132 gigawatt hours (GWh) of clean electricity annually to Thames Water. Thames Water will source electricity produced from RWE’s Camster onshore wind farm to power sites and operations across the Thames Water network (London and the Thames Valley).

Under this agreement, Co-op will source electricity produced from the Gwynt y Môr offshore wind farm to help power its estate, including food stores, distribution centres and funeralcare homes across the UK. RWE will supply Co-op with a total volume of 33 gigawatt hours (GWh) of clean electricity annually – which is enough to power the equivalent of around 140 Co-op food stores a year, equal to 12,200 homes.
