Digital Solutions is responsible for the development and management of RWE Clean Energy’s application and custom software development portfolio. The Business Analyst Intern will have the opportunity to work on a transformation initiative in partnership with Clean Energy IT and Business stakeholders. The Intern will support business analysis and project implementation activities within the organization. This position could be involved in several aspects of the product development life cycle including gathering user requirements, designing the application, developing and programming the code, end-to-end testing, deployment and documentation. The applicant must have the ability to perform tasks independently and/or with minimum guidance.
Role Responsibilities:
- Assist in gathering and organizing business requirements from stakeholders and end users through interviews, workshops, and documentation review
- Support analysis of existing business models and operations, identifying areas for improvement under guidance
- Participate in requirements documentation, drafting user stories, use cases, and basic functional specifications
- Support communication and follow-ups during project meetings
- Help prepare and deliver presentations and training materials for proposed changes to staff and business teams
- Assist in project implementation activities, such as tracking assigned tasks and preparing documentation for third-party resources
- Participate in QA and testing efforts, including executing test scripts and documenting results for smaller features or enhancements
- Support problem identification and root cause analysis, recommending solutions under supervision
- Assist in application management tasks, including user access support, license audits, and maintaining admin guides
- Learn to coordinate with vendors on minor upgrades or application support needs, shadowing senior team members
Job Requirements and Experiences:
- Working on a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
- Ability to learn new technologies as required for the job using documentation and other available sources
- Ability to handle multiple assignments with changing priorities while meeting deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships
- Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams)
- Some knowledge of business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques, such as data flow diagrams, entity-relationship diagrams (ERD), cross functional diagrams, user stories, wireframes, Agile, Scrum, etc.
- Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
- Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds at all levels of the organization
- Is a team player embracing the spirit of continuous improvement personally and within the team
- Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts

Pay range: The hourly base range for this position in New York is $25.00 - $40.00. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
