Gundremmingen nuclear power plant

A major responsibility: the decommissioning of the Gundremmingen nuclear power plant

After the end of power generation, the Gundremmingen nuclear power plant faces a new task: dismantling the plant. Like the construction and operation of a nuclear power plant, its dismantling is a project that must be examined, approved and monitored by the authorities in accordance with the Atomic Energy Act. The licensing authority for the dismantling of the Gundremmingen nuclear power plant is the Bavarian State Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection.

It is important to us that the nuclear licensing procedure and the dismantling of the plants are transparent. At this point we will keep you continuously informed about the individual steps.

Detailed information on the current status of the dismantling projects can be found especially on the German version of this website.
