China

In 2016, RWE successfully entered the Chinese market and since then has grown in its activities. Today, the RWE Group is mainly present through its wholly-owned subsidiary RWE Supply & Trading (Shanghai) Co. Ltd., with offices in both Beijing and Shanghai.

Shanghai

China

RWE Supply & Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. is based in Shanghai – a key hub for energy and trade in Asia. The office focuses on international and domestic energy transactions within China, while exploring opportunities in conventional and renewable energy markets. It also shares expertise in trading and asset optimisation, seeking growth in line with local regulations.

Mumbai

India

RWE Supply & Trading (India) Private Limited, a wholly owned RWE Supply & Trading subsidiary, opened its office in November 2013. Located in India’s financial capital of Mumbai, RWEST IPL consolidates RWEST’s Indian commodity trading and marketing activities. As part of RWEST’s growth strategy, RWEST IPL focuses on building a commodities business in India.

Our office in Jakarta is small, but crucial. RWE Supply & Trading (RWEST) aims to be a leader in Indonesia's competitive energy market. The team is responsible for commercial trading, business analysis, finance, tax, government reporting and office management.

Our Tokyo office plays a key role in driving RWE’s international growth across Asia. In addition to RWE Supply & Trading, this office is also home to our colleagues from RWE Renewables Japan G.K., who contribute to the broader offshore business and expand RWE’s presence in the renewable energy sector. Located in the heart of Tokyo, the office is surrounded by great restaurants and local culture – making it a dynamic base for collaboration and connection.

Singapore

The Asia Pacific region continues to be a strong focus area for RWE Supply & Trading. That’s why our colleagues in Singapore recently moved to a newer, larger office in Singapore Land Tower, located in the middle of Singapore's bustling financial district. This RWE office was officially opened in September 2024.
