RWE Innogy offers services for operators of renewable energy installations
Renewables site map
Just in time for Global Wind Day, RWE Innogy is launching a new web application with live production data. Whether you are in the office, at home or on the go – at www.rwe-renewableslive.com, you can access the current production of RWE Innogy’s renewable energy plants* at any time. The new mobile-compatible web app allows the company to provide transparent, minute-by-minute data for the last 24 hours. At the same time, a site map provides a detailed overview of the geographical location of the renewable power plants. Thanks to the satellite view, users can, for example, also view images of a power plant from above.
The new web app makes use of data collected by RWE Innogy in a specially designed operating system. The system provides second-by-second data for each generation unit on generation, plant status, wind speed etc. It allows technicians to operate more efficiently and provide targeted plant maintenance from a distance. At the same time, all the generation units, whether they are wind or hydroelectric power plants, can be grouped into a virtual power plant, which will help RWE when marketing green electricity.
Interested plant operators can also benefit from RWE’s expertise, because for several months the company has been offering operational management services to third parties. Thus, at present, RWE Innogy is already managing wind farms for third parties in the UK and for the municipal utility consortium Green Gecco in Germany.
*90 per cent of the plants are currently connected to the system.
