Within the GET H2 project, RWE Generation SE investigated the business field of water electrolysis for the production of hydrogen (H2) at the Lingen site. The aim is to establish a hydrogen infrastructure in Germany to ensure an efficient implementation of the energy turnaround.

Our RWETI experts were assigned to accompany the construction of a Power-to-Gas plant. The services included the preparation of a specification sheet (interface clarification), the clarification of open technical questions, the establishment of contacts to potential plant constructors and the examination of the feasibility.

With our expert knowledge in this area, we were able to contribute to the tender for the construction of an electrolyzer. Electricity from renewable energy sources can now be converted into hydrogen and easily distributed through the already existing gas infrastructure.
