Power Purchase Agreement with Honda

Honda secures auto industry’s largest renewable energy purchase

USA, July 15th 2019

Honda signed for 120 MW of the power with renewable attributes

The 150MW Boiling Springs Wind Farm is in the state of Oklahoma and in the Southwest Power Pool.

The expected annual renewable electricity production of Boiling Springs is 650,000 MWh. Honda has contracted for 120MW, which offsets the electricity used for Honda’s auto production at its US plants in Ohio and Indiana.

The Power Purchase Agreement helps Honda to meet its CO2 reduction goals by adding clean renewable electricity, while also supporting the local economy in communities neighbouring the wind farm.
