You will lead and further develop the O&M Excellence Department with the objective of achieving industry-leading operational performance across RWE’s offshore wind fleet. The role has end-to-end accountability for driving operational excellence through standardised processes, data-driven performance management and continuous improvement.
About the role
- Lead and develop the O&M Excellence Department to drive operational performance, process excellence, maintenance optimisation and systematic performance reporting across the offshore wind fleet
- Define, own and continuously evolve the RWE Offshore Production System, ensuring consistent application across sites
- Drive operational diagnostics and identify improvement initiatives in close collaboration with site and cluster leadership teams, including the definition of performance targets
- Lead process standardisation across Operations and define the digitisation roadmap for the Works Management Process landscape, partly integrated with Production System ownership
- Jointly own operational improvement targets with site management and actively support implementation on sites as required
- Hold overarching responsibility for a standardised Operations KPI framework, including performance loss tracking
- Ensure timely, high-quality and decision-relevant performance reporting for senior leadership
- Drive data-based performance diagnostics together with site teams to enable and prioritise improvement initiatives
- Monitor and quantify the impact of improvement measures and provide regular insights to relevant stakeholders
- Lead fleet-wide maintenance optimisation efforts, including the standardisation of maintenance concepts and work instructions
Job requirements and experience
- Extensive experience in Operations and performance delivery within manufacturing or maintenance-intensive industries (e.g. Energy, Chemicals, Aerospace, Automotive)
- Proven experience leading systematic improvement or transformation programmes, including recent hands-on introduction and rollout of Lean Production Systems
- Prior experience in Production System development and the practical application of Lean principles; cross-industry experience is a strong advantage
- University degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business, Project Management or a comparable field
- Several years of relevant professional experience in an operational or performance-driven environment
- Solid understanding of the renewables industry, including key business drivers, market dynamics and technology trends
- Experience in renewables, particularly Offshore Wind, is a strong plus
- Advanced structured problem-solving skills combined with strategic and systems thinking
- Fluency in English is mandatory; additional European languages are an advantage
