10-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with annual volume of up to 170 gigawatt hours
RWE and Volkswagen have signed a 10-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with an annual volume of up to 170 gigawatt hours. The green electricity will flow from Luxcara’s German solar farm Tramm-Göthen to Volkswagen starting in 2022.
This deal represents one of the largest PPAs in Germany and supports Volkswagen in its “Way to Zero” initiative to become a carbon neutral company by 2050.
