Asahi signed a 10 year PPA to supply Polish breweries with renewable wind energy
The Lech Nowy Staw wind farm in northern Poland will now cover 100% of Asahis Polish breweries power needs.
This 10-year longer-term Power Purchase Agreement with RWE, supports the first wind farm in Poland that does not benefit from any Polish state subsidies. This PPA is trailblazing a new frontier of financial models to transform the energy market in Poland.
“The PPA deal with RWE Renewables Europe & Australia is a significant commitment that helps us come closer to the Asahi Group ambition of becoming carbon neutral across the whole supply chain by 2050. In addition, it lays the ground for RWE to invest in a new onshore wind construction project that will support Poland's transition towards renewable energy."
