Member Sustainability Yearbook 2022
100-0 (100 = top mark)
The Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA, former SAM rating) is part of S&P Global Ratings, which are traditionally focusing on financial ratings. The questionnaire is a mixture of 80-100 cross-industry and industry-specific questions and they encompass approximately 20 financially relevant sustainability criteria in three dimensions governance, environment and social. Scores are ranging from 0 (worst) to 100 (best). Since 1999, the Corporate Sustainability Assessment has become the basis for numerous ESG indices, the most famous being the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI).
