In the first part of the series, we introduce you to IT Solution Engineer Nhan, from RWE Renewables. She describes herself as an IT enthusiast, motivated to develop her career at RWE: “Actively being a part of the global movement has always been a dream of mine.“

What is your job and how did you come to work for RWE?

I am an IT Solution Engineer at RWE Renewables. My colleagues and I are responsible for the internal software solutions to support the RWE Renewables business. My job involves technically defining, implementation, ensuring quality and maintaining web-based as well as mobile applications.

Actively being a part of the global movement has always been a dream of mine. As an IT enthusiast, I’m always seeking new challenges and I want to contribute to the modern IT solutions and products. After came across this position’s job posting on social media, I was immediately interested.

How were your first months here at RWE - did realty and expectations match?

My first months at RWE were even better than I expected. My colleagues have made me feel welcome and I was able to integrate into the team from day one. I also had a great onboarding experience and could take part in some interesting projects from the very beginning.

What surprised you the most when you started?

I was amazed by a great team atmosphere and a strong sense of team work. I am also grateful to be in a safe working environment, have the ability to speak my mind, express the ideas and try something new.

What has been one of your highlights working for RWE so far?

Definitely the amazing cooperation with my team and other teams from the business side of RWE Renewables. Also I get to work with talented colleagues from all over the world and have a lot of opportunities to exchange ideas, overcome challenges and implement good applications together with my colleagues.

What do you like most about working as IT Solution Engineer @RWE?

I love being a part of the international team, using the latest technologies and techniques to support the RWE Renewables business. At RWE, all the technologies terms in the job description are not buzzwords. We are using those most recent tech stacks on a daily basis for our user-friendly and innovative applications. On top of that, I have the opportunity to work with experienced colleagues and reap the benefits of their experience and insights.

What are you looking forward to?

I am looking forward to contributing to the sustainable energy field, creating next-generation digital solutions to support the process of our global project.
